KYIV


       Kyiv is the city which is 1500 years old, one of the ancient slavic centers, the capital city of the mighty state of Kyivan Rus, the seat of Ukrainian Orthodox Metropolitanate, and the capital of modern Ukraine. Today with a population approaching 3 million, Kyiv is political, cultural, industrial,
and sports center of the country. The harmony of the modern constructions
and the historical places creates a unique and refined atmosphere of the city.
       Kyiv is a really beatiful city with its marvellous hills and unique sightseeings. Having bunch of trees and flowers it is always associated with chestnuts. Kyiv architectural landscape is unique. Due to the huge number of orthodox churches it is called sometimes the Gold-Domed city.
       Kyiv's central business district and most popular people-watching street, the beautiful tree- lined boulevard is Khreshchatik. Kyivan princes liked to hunt here, now tourists hunt here for souvenirs in its many stores.
       The new symbol of Kyiv, St. Michael the Archangel replaced the previous symbol, the kashtan (chestnut) leaf. A statue of St. Michael the Archangel was erected in downtown Kyiv.
       In Kyiv you can enjoy by sight-seeings, such as: St. Sophia's Cathedral, Andriyivsky Uzviz, St. Andrew's Cathedral, Kyiv-Perchersk Lavra, Taras Shevchenco National Opera of Ukraine, Mariinsky Dvorets (Mariinsky Palace).

Hotel "Slavutich"

       The hotel "Slavutich" is situated on the left bank of the Dnipro River, or "Slavutich" as it used to be called in the old times. The hotel is a modern 16-storey building (shaped like an open book) providing the visitors with maximum comfort.
       The windows of the hotel expand the view upon the golden cupolas of the ancient monasteries of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. Snug and comfortable single and double rooms, as well as semi-de luxe suites provide everything necessary for pleasant repose.

       Hotel is situated in the center of the city. There are many historical and architectural monuments near the hotel that make your rest more pleasant and useful. There are 124 rooms of the different categories. Each room has a bathroom or shower, a telephone, a TV-set, a refrigerator, and a balcony. UMAN

 
       Uman is Ukrainian city in Cherkaskay Oblast. The first written mention refers to 1616. The origin of the name comes from the river Umanka.
       The main tourist attraction is the Sophia Park (1796), often referred to as "Sofiyivka". It is exactly 2 hundred years since the work of laying out this park commenced. "Sofiyivka" is one of the most beautiful parks in Europe, originally built by the leading architects and park engineers of Western Europe for one of the richest magnates of Poland Count Pototsky or, rather, for his Greek wife Sophia. Later it was rebuilt to match the tastes of the new owners - the Royal family of Russia. The park has happily survived the ravages of wars, revolutions and neglect. The state dendrological preserve "Sofiyivka" is spread over the territory of more than a hundred and fifty hectares on the outskirts of Uman.
       The visitors are fascinated by the park wonderful landscapes, numerous sprinkling fountains, artificial grottoes, exquisite antique sculptures, pavilion's design. The constructors created a sophisticated hydrotechnical system, supplying water to the Upper and Lower park ponds, all its sites and areas.
Hotel "Dom Tvorchestva Uchenyh"

       Hotel is located near the main entrance to the dendrological park "Sofiyivka".

MIRGOROD

       Mirgorod is a well-known spa in Ukraine. The curative properties of Mirgorod's mineral water have been known since the beginning of the 20th century. The first mentions of Mirgorod refer to 15th century.
       Mineral water from Mirgorod is as pure and tasty as mineral water from Baden-Baden, Aachen and Yessentuky, which made these resorts world-famous. Mirgorodskaya is a natural mineral water, transparent and slightly salty. It is slightly mineralized, sodium chloride water. Because of its unique curative properties, Mirgorodskaya mineral water is recommended for treating chronic gastritis, colitis, and other digestion disorders.
